Beauty Secrets / Waterless Cleanser ?!

This month I want to talk about a Waterless cleanser.

Some of these products are called Micellar Cleansing Water, Micellar Lotion, Dual Fusion Water, etc. Recently, I've seen a lot of advertisements for these types of cleansers. Their catch phrase is

"Removes waterproof makeup without rubbing and no rinsing," it seems very popular.

Does this sound good to you?

To me, it doesn't sound right.

Why?

To just apply a product then wipe off with a cotton ball and the cleansing is done? No matter how many times you change the cotton, it is impossible to remove the makeup residue which sits on your pores. I really don't think it is that easy.

Where and why was this type of cleanser born?

It was born in France.

Why?

Because the quality of water there is very hard, and it's difficult to create lather with the soap. That's why in France they don't drink tap water, but drink bottled water, and a lot of wine is consumed. Unless one lives in an area with hard water, you do not need this type of cleanser.

Cleansing is the first basic step for healthy skin. When I worked at the Day Spa, Burke William on Wilshire boulevard in Los Angles as an esthetician, the first thing I told my client was "Let's me start with cleanse your face," and my client would say "I already washed my face and took a shower," but under the magnifying glass, I still could see the makeup residue on their face. It was at that point that I started to look for a perfect cleanser. Soon I was introduced to this amazing cleanser made from volcanic ash in Japan. I decided to import it and call it "Ionic Cleanser" which in my opinion is the best cleanser I’ve come across.

I can't overemphasize the importance of having a clean face, and water is an essential part in completing the process. If you happen to live in an area with hard water, you can rinse with water and then use a toner, or spray distilled water on your face to balance the PH on your skin.

If you wear makeup, then you need double cleansing. Double cleansing = cleansing oil and soap. Cleansing Oil and Makeup Remover is one of my best selling products, last year I was fortunate enough to have my products mentioned by Emmy award makeup artist, Thomas Surprenant on Makeup Magazine. The base of my oil cleanser is Rice bran oil (which is rich with most effective Vitamin E, tocotorienol and also furic acid). You can rinse it off with water and it is for all types of skin; I recommend to follow up with Ionic Cleanser. For dry, sensitive skin, use Gentle Foam Wash. In the morning, just rinse with water unless you have oily skin.

Healthy, Beautiful skin begins with good habits and good products are a must!
